Every once in a while I get a secondary character who pops off the page at me, just so…alive they take over scenes they’re in and demand books of their own. Liam was one such character (that's my vision of him on the left). In fact, it was Liam who let me in on Hunter's "quirks" (as he calls them) and showed me the direction this book would go.
So this week wouldn’t be complete without him. This is from chapter six...
He smiled, gentle and charming, and touched her shoulder, stroking the pad of his thumb along the muscle. “Have to admit I’m sorry to see you go. I was hoping once I locked the doors for the night, I’d come into the ballroom to find you still searching for a partner. I am seriously going to kick Hunt’s ass the next time I see him.”
He winked and Jenna couldn’t help her soft laugh. God, why couldn’t she have ended up with him tonight? “You’re an incorrigible flirt, aren’t you?”
“Guilty as charged.” He laughed again, but his humor faded as quickly as it came. He lifted his wrist and glanced at his watch. “Come on. The ferry’s next run is in about twenty minutes.”
